The Hybrid Cooling Vest is light in weight and easy to (re) activate.
The vest is suitable for multi functional use, such as during work, sports and for recreational applications.

The Hybrid vest is designed to be worn in places where there is no extremely high ambient temperature and works best with low to medium humidity. The amount of air flow on the body determines the cooling effect and the duration of the cooling.

By immersing it in water, the Hybrid vest can be used as a wet cooling vest, but is also prepared for the Macna Cool Packs. These are available in 21 and 29 versions.

Activation – Wet

Immerse the product in water for 1 to 2 minutes.
Then gently squeeze out the excess water.
Finally, wipe the water-repellent lining (vest / head cover) dry with a towel before use. And you are ready for departure!

The Hybrid Cooling Vest cooling material has been developed for a maximum of 200 wet / dry cycles (activations). Water absorption diminishes over time because the fibers cluster together in the tissue structure.

A reduction in water absorption may occur after the first 10 wet / dry cycles; hereafter the absorption remains relatively stable. This is a normal process. The material still offers very effective water absorption, evaporation and thus cooling capacity.

The degree of absorption is also influenced by the method of maintenance of the product and the water quality.

Activation – Cool Packs
The time required to fully activate them depends on the Cool Pack temperature and the cooling method:

Ice water: approximately 20 minutes
Freezer: approximately 40 minutes
Refrigerator: approximately 60 minutes

You can also activate them by exposing them to an ambient temperature below:

19 C for the Cool Pack 21 C
26 C for the Cool Pack 29 C

Do not stack packs, but lay them flat in a single layer. If you want to use them directly from the freezer, they may feel too cold to wear. It is therefore advised to wait at least five minutes so that they can warm up to their set temperature of 21 C or 29 C, depending on the type of PCM you have chosen. Once the PCM has reached this temperature, it will retain it for hours!
